Should you choose not to play your round of golf due to inclement weather, you will need to contact the golf shop directly while on property. You will be charged for and issued a voucher that is redeemable for future golf. Once you tee off, you have committed to the round of golf and are not eligible for a voucher. Any Replay and Sandbox rounds may be cancelled at any time without penalty.
Our award-winning courses have something different to offer golfers of all skill levels. Sand Valley offers a classic links-style experience with firm and fast conditions, requiring strategic shot-making and a creative ground game. Mammoth Dunes includes enormous fairways, big accessible greens which are designed towards helping increasing enjoyment. Sandbox is a fun par-3 short course and is a great way to warm up before a round or finish the day as the sun sets. Sedge Valley is inspired by the great heathland and links courses of London and the english coast, bringing back a more intimate scale and classically styled holes. Lido is memorable for its challenging greens and strategic design that demands precision and thoughtful course management.

All rounds prior to 8 a.m. are considered speed slot rounds and are expected to be played in under 4 hours. Rounds after 8 a.m. are expected to be played in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less. Average pace of play on the Sandbox is 2 hours.
Sand Valley Golf Range: Sunrise to an hour before dusk. (Closes at 5:00 pm every Thursday.) Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time as the warm-up areas are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Putting Greens are located at both Sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes, adjacent to the first tee of each course. Shuttle Service will be available to guests to and from other courses.
We have club rentals available for $60 per day which come with two complimentary sleeves of golf balls. Advance reservations are recommended; call 888-651-5539 to make a reservation or email golfshop@sandvalley.com.

We have pull/push carts available to rent for $10/day or you may bring your own. The sand and lack of paths can be difficult on motorized pull carts.
Getting your golf clubs to and from Sand Valley is easier than it’s ever been, allowing you to enjoy a hassle-free travel experience. Should you need to ship your clubs or luggage, we recommend using SHIP STICKS
Yes, the Lido course has limited availability to Sand Valley resort guests only from Sunday through Thursday.
Active Military can enjoy complimentary golf on The Sandbox (17-hole, par 3 course) before noon. Veteran Military play for just $15 on The Sandbox before noon.
While we make every effort to honor caddie requests, our caddies are independent contractors who manage their own availability. If your initial request isn't available, we have many other skilled caddies at Sand Valley eager to enhance your round. This is a great opportunity to discover a new caddie and enjoy their unique perspective on the course.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, your caddie will typically remain with your group throughout your trip. For larger groups, coordination is key. Please stop at the golf shop or contact us at caddieservices@sandvalley.com with your finalized pairings as soon as possible so we can confirm caddie assignments and communicate with your caddies.
We appreciate your requests for single-bag or Junior Caddies. To best serve all our guests and ensure every group has caddie support, our experienced caddies often carry double bags, allowing us to accommodate more golfers. While we can't guarantee single-bag or Junior Caddie requests, we're confident you'll enjoy the enhanced experience and shared camaraderie that comes with a double-bag caddie.
While we understand that plans can change, booking your caddie at least a week before your trip is the best way to guarantee one. We will certainly try to accommodate any last-minute requests, but availability is dependent on the number of caddies available that day.
Yes, we can! Stop in the golf shop and ask for caddie cash. We can charge a requested amount to your room and give you the cash to give your caddie. ATMs are also located at the Main Lodge and in the basement of the Tennis Center. All caddie fees are to be paid by the guest directly to the caddie. The caddie fee is $100 per bag, per round plus gratuity.
If you requested a caddie in advance, a member of Guest Services will be at the first round course to answer any of your questions and introduce the assigned caddies. This typically happens 15-20 minutes prior to your tee time.
For 2025 golf and lodging reservations, we require all cancellations to be made a minimum of 30 days prior to the arrival date. Any cancellations or reductions made inside 30 days will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
Check in is at 4 p.m. and check out is at 11 a.m. An additional fee applies for late check outs.
For general reservations (lodging and golf), the deposit amount is based upon the first night's room rate plus tax for each room reserved, and the first greens fee plus tax for each person.
All king lodge rooms, maximum occupancy is two guests.
All queen lodge rooms are priced for double occupancy, with a maximum capacity of four guests. Please note an additional charge of $20 plus tax per person applies for the third and fourth guests.
All two-bed cottages have a maximum occupancy of four guests.
All four-bed cottages have a maximum occupancy of eight guests.
All eight-bed cottages are priced for an occupancy of eight guests, with a maximum capacity of sixteen guests (four per room). An additional charge of $20 plus tax per person applies for the third and fourth guests in each room.
Sand Valley currently does not offer rollaway beds.

During your stay, there is no need to drive your car. Our team of shuttle drivers can take you from the Clubhouse, Golf Shop, and all lodging units to and from the first tee of Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, The Sandbox, or your car. Shuttle service is available 24 hours per day and all guest rooms have an in-room telephone with a "Shuttle" speed dial button.

Yes, for an additional fee of $20/hr. As this service relies on junior caddies, availability is limited. We recommend booking at least seven days in advance. Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.
We encourage players to request a ball person for their session. Ball persons significantly enhance the playing experience by retrieving and supplying balls, adapting to individual playing styles, and facilitating a faster pace of play.

No. All golf courses are closed for the winter. Our 2025 golf season concludes on October 19.
From November - March, a cancellation penalty will not be applied for any cancellations outside of 14 days from the arrival date.
