Sand Valley provides a fast-paced working environment where interns practice and execute the skills they study in school alongside our talented PGA staff to help interns learn and succeed on the job. Our crafted internship program provides the student with a practical account of PGA golf operations management and extracurricular learning opportunities through our expanded education programs.
• Accurately charge and track golf rounds on 3 golf courses, up to 600 rounds per day across the resort
• Learn detailed retail processes and strategies
• Gain experience with Point of Sale and Inventory programs
• Work and interact with guests from across the globe
• Learn critical thinking and problem solving techniques
• Assist guests with check-in, golf itinerary and lodging accommodations
• Coordinate group arrivals and departures including luggage transportation, bag tagging and traffic flow
• Provide unparalleled guest service in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
• Manage and maintain the practice facilities and bag room
• Learn critical thinking and problem solving skills
As a part of the Golf Team, we invite our interns and recent graduates to monthly seminars and clinics designed to help expand their learning beyond the practical experience gained while “on the clock.”
